Day in the city
Hello peeps, or I should probably say goodnight because you are probably all fast asleep right now ;)
Last night I slept for 12 hours, it was soo nice to finally catch up on lost sleep. We have just had breakfast and today Im not working so we are thinking about going to Bondi beach! We havent been there yet and the weather is great today so why not.
I should tell you about our day in sydney the other day aswell. We did the whole tourist thing again and walked around the opera house. It was great though and I cant get over how beautiful it is. Then we strolled around The royal botanic gardens. Thats what I love about sydney, the fact that in the middle of a very hectic busy city there is a beautiful calm park with amazing trees and plants. That was probably the first time Id seen tom enjoy just walking around :P haha, when I said that we should leave he wanted to stay and walk some more.
After that we ventured on to Darling harbour and had an ice cream there (macdonalds ice creams are the best). Then we had a stroll in China town, had a look round the market and the restaurants. We were completley knackered (tired) after all this walking so we took the bus home after that. In the evening we went to a beach party but tbh there isnt really much to say about that.

Idag känner jag verkligen inte för att jobba. Det blev lite för mycket igår på beachpartyt och nu är jag jag väldigt trött och sliten helt enkelt. Sen hjälper det inte att det är super väder ute! Solen skiner och det är en perfekt dag för stranden. Men självklart att jag tacksam för det här jobbet jag har fått så jag får helt enkelt bita ihop och åka dit. Det är ju pengar och det är definitivt något vi behöver just nu. Vi hade en mysig dag i Sydney igår så ikväll gör jag ett inlägg om det :) Godnatt hemma i Sverige!!!
Party
Yesterday we went to Mona Vale, which is about 15 minutes north by bus from collaroy. We went to a nightclub and it was a lot of fun (except for expensive drinks). Was my first nightclubbing experience here in Aussie and I enjoyed it a lot :) This evening a few people were going to Ivy which is a very famous club in Sydney, but I think we are going to stay home and watch a film instead because we are feeling very tired.
I have somehow managed to catch a cold so I think I need to rest tonight. Tomorrow evening we are going to a beachparty though which will be awesome :)

Australia day
Australia day är national dagen här. Vi firade dagen genom att grilla på hostelet, tatuera oss med aussie flaggor, rita på oss själva men zinc (väldigt stark solkräm) och leka på stranden. The aussies tyckte att vi firade det mer än dom själva haha. Vi lyssnade också på aussie radio hela dagen :P
Det va en väldigt rolig skön dag. Slappade och lekte mycket i poolen :) Här kommer lite pics:

Back from work
Hey peeps :)
I have just got home from work and it went well today aswell. It just really wares me out, i suppose its because its hot aswell. Today it is cloudy but it is sooo humid and hot! I went food shopping straight after work at the shopping mall and carrying everything home was a right pain :P
Anyway today we have moved to a new room here at sydney beachouse hostel. This room is more spacious and it has air conditioning! HALLELUJAH!!! Such a relief, and at the moment only me and tom are staying in the room so if we are lucky it stays that way :)
Tomorrow I am working again and on wednesday it is Australia day! I don't know entirely what that means but there is lots going on. Lots of games, competitions, fireworks etc. Im not working that day so that will be fun!
Anyway now Im going to try and upload the pics I wanted to show you yesterday!

Internet has been dying on me so Ive tried to write this a couple of times now...
So anyway.. last night we were in the city, it was good but we ended up walking around more than we were in the bars. We saw sydneys "gay" street and that was pretty funny. In the end we ended up at a arcade at like 1am and we played a load of games and had fun.
Today I worked at the cafe again. I basically just make sandwiches, freshly squeezed juices and smoothies, serve yoghurt etc. Its fun but today I was absolutley exhausted after only 3 hours of work! (Maybe it was becasue we were up late yesterday). Anyway I got 5 more shifts this week which is so great! I so happy and thankful for this job. I didnt write much about it on here but tbh I really didnt enjoy the other restaurant job, so Im glad ive got this instead :) So tomorrow Im working at 12 again. Now we just have to get tom a job but Ive got a feeling he will get something soon :)

Ive got a job! (I think)
Nu vill jag inte skriva för mycket för att förra gången jag trodde att jag hade jobb så va det ju inte riktigt så. Men nu känns det mycket säkrare. Jag va på min intervju/provjobb idag och det gick bra :) Det är ett smörgås cafe i ett shopping center 20 min här ifrån. Dom säljer massa olika smörgåsar, fikabröd, smoothies, juicer m.m
Jag ska dit imorgon igen och då skulle hon lägga upp ett schema för den kommande veckan. Så det känns grymt! Jag är jätteglad.
Tom va och kollade på lägenhet idag och vi har hittat en intressant, vi vet bara inte hur länge man måste hyra den än. Men vi ska ansöka om den så får vi se vad som händer. Det funkar att bo på detta hostel också så det viktigaste är att vi har jobb. Nu ska jag peppa tom att leta som bara den, hoppas han kan få lite mer bygg jobb som många andra killar har här. Det löser sig :)
Igår kväll hade vi en BBQ on the beach. Det va jättemysigt, det tog ett tag att få igång grillen men när det väl gick så blev det bra :) Nu har vi precis kommit tillbaka från 2 timmars beach volleyboll också. Det va sjukt kul!
I went to my interview thing today and it went well. I got called back tomorrow so I think I can safely say that I got the job :D Im soo happy, tonight we will celebrate :)

Good day!
Today has been a wonderful day :) Woke up from the sun shining in my face and started the day by taking a dip in the pool. After a nice brekky we took the bus to manly and applyed for a few more jobs, then we enjoyed a lunch from manly bakery at the beach. The rest of the afternoon was spent relaxing on collaroy beach. Then me and isabella actually went for a jog on the beach. So proud :P The only bad thing that happened today was that both me and tom got stung by blue bottle jellyfish, but it wasn't too bad.
Now I've just had a shower and we are just about to go have a bbq on the beach :)
Ohh and heres some exciting news: Ive got a job interview tomorrow! At a cafe at the locla shopping mall!! So I will go to the interview and tom will check out to apartments. Wieee im so excited! I really really hope I get the job!
Anyway Ive got a feeling that this great day is gunna continue on to being a grreeat evening :D

Ive thought about this for a while now, and today I did it! My hair was so worn out and it really just needed a fresh start so I chopped it off!!!! I'm in a whole new country and its a whole new start, so why not go for a whole new look! ;)

G'day maties
Today has been very up and down. We took the bus to manly to go and check out an apartment. I had a very good feeling about this one as it was situated just by manly beach and the price was reasonable. After seeing it we really liked it, it was just the right size, good furniture, nice view, avaible in a few days... I was getting more and more excited feeling that we had finally found our apartment. Then all of that hope just dissapeared when the lady said that you have to rent the apartment for at least 9 months. DOHHH!! Such a dissapointment.. so we walked back and sat by the beach for a while. Then I thought.. at least Im getting paid today for my 3 days of work last week. So i went to the restaurant to get my paycheck and she said that I have to have my apron with me. DOHH again.. my apron was in collaroy which is a 30 minutes bus ride back...
haha. and on top of that! It was kinda a false alarm about me getting a job because I never really got it. They told me today that I would get a phone call if I got the job..
So we took the bus back to collaroy, got my apron and Cvs, went back, got my money (yipee) and then manage to hand out a few more CVs aswell :) Now Im chilling and tom is taking a nap. Soon we are going to make noodles a la beef and mushrooms, haha how fancy.
I have a big surprise for all of you aswell :) But I will tell you more about that later.

Då var vi tillbaka i Sydney, eller a vi är 1 timme norr om Sydney. Vi har nämligen bytt hostel, detta är mycket vänligare och renare. Man får låna cyklar och surfbrädor;)
Surf campet var Ripcurls egna och det höll till 2 timmar söder om Sydney på en strand som heter "7 mile beach" sjukt snyggt ställe:D allting var rena paradiset men jäklar va jobbigt det var!
Köpte en skiva med ungefär 150 bilder och en del videor så kommer ladda upp några på mig och Carolina:)
Kan säga oxå att carro var jätte duktig och även hon stod upp på första dagen:) (stolt)

Detta blir en snabb updatering bara för om 10 minuter ska vi checka ut, sen ska jag jobba i 5 timmar och sen är det dags för surfcamp :) Vi tar inte med oss våra datorer så vi hörs på måndag. Vi är rktigt taggade och för mig ska det bli skönt med en rolig helg efter några dagar på raken med jobb nu.
Hoppas allt är bra hemma, vi fortsätter kolla på lägenheter så vi hoppas att vi hittar något snart. Hostel börjar bli lite tjatigt.

JOB!
Hej allihopa :)
Jag provjobbade ju igår och det gick ganska bra :) Det va lite skakigt men så är det ju alltid när man gör något man inte har gjort förut. Jag fick tre tider denna veckan så jag är jätteglad för det :) Det enda som är lite segt är att jobbet är ju på manly vilket är en 30 minuters båt tur från centrala sydney. Iofs så är det en jätte vacker och skön tur men jag vet inte om jag vill pendla så många dagar i veckan. Men vi börjar så här så får vi se vad som händer. Jag vill ju absolut inte tacka nej till jobb.
Så nu är klockan 23:15 och jag har kommit hem från dagens jobb, det gick bra idag också men det va inte så mycket att göra för vädret va lite dåligt. Men jag har träffat nya trevliga människor, och när jag jobbar får jag gratis mat så det är ju jättebra verkligen för våran budget :P Man får också betalt här varje vecka och man får cash direkt i handen, så det är också bra för oss :)
Tom har en jobbintervju imorgon så vi får hoppas att den går bra :) Det känns riktigt bra just nu allting, förutom att vi måste hitta en lägenhet. Vi kollar hela tiden varje dag, dom billiga försvinner snabbt så man måste ligga på. Vi kollade på en "studio" idag men vi kände att den var för liten.
Imorgon ska jag göra en 5 timmar lång kurs som heter RSA, man måste göra den här i aus om man jobbar med alkohol. Sen efter det ska jag jobba igen. Så det blir en fullpackad dag :)
Hoppas allt är bra i sweeeeden. Även fast vi har det bra här så saknar jag er alla!

I have got a job! Feels great, I'm waitressing at a restaurant on the shore of manly beach. Its alittle bit hard as I have never waitressed before but ill learn quickly. The only bad thing about it is that I have to commute from central sydney to manly, but I will manage for a while. The only thing we need to sort out now is an apartment : Things are looking good as tom has a job interview tomorrow aswell. So lets hope for the best :)
The sydney habour bridge, my view when I take the ferry to work, it really is amazing.
Zoo
Me and Tom were planning on visiting bondi and coogee today but we want to try and keep out of the sun as much as possible so instead we decided to go to the zoo! To get there we had to take a ferry from circular quay and it took about 15 minutes to get there. It was a lot of fun, we saw koalas, kangaroos, tasmanian devil, seals, birds, snakes etc. The coolest was probably koalas and kangaroos, just because we've never seen those animals before.
Even though it was cloudy it got soo hot and we were really worn out after a few hours. When we got back to the wharf there was a speed-chess champion challenging anyone who wanted to play. Ofcourse tom did not turn down the challenge. It was truly amazing seeing this guy play 6 people at once. He beat tom but it was a good match :) Thats the fun thing about being in a big city, you never know what you'll see.
At the moment we are just hanging out at the hostel, tom is watching a film with a finnish guy and a german girl. It is pretty fun staying at hostels actually, its very social and you meet loads of new poeple.

Nu har jag en mycket spännande sak att berätta. Jag och tom har bokat en "surfcamp" Vi åker på fredag och kommer hem på söndag. Man åker ner 2 timmar söder om sydney och bor precis brevid stranden. Man träffar massa nya människor och har 2 surflektioner per dag. Det ska bli så himla kul att testa att surfa, vi är båda jätte taggade. Det kostar en slant men vi har bara bokat boende på vandrarhemmet tills på fredag så vi tänkte att vi kan lika gärna köra på. Detta är något vi verkligen båda vill testa så det är säkert värt pengarna :)
Imorgon ska jag som sagt provjobba och det är lite nervöst men ska också bli roligt :)
Idag ska vi eventuellt besöka zoo:t här i Sydney :)
Hoppas alla mår bra där hemma i sverige! pusspuss

Thoughts
Today me and tom had a picnic in hyde park for dinner :) It was so cosy. We got surrounded by kiwi birds though. Kiwi birds are these weirdo birds with long thin beaks. Ive never seen a bord like it before so it felt quite tropical. Apart from that we have had a look at an apartment and we have been applying to different jobs. We have been trying to keep in the shade because the sun is soo strong. We are still abit crisp from our dy at manly and if we are smart we should probably stay out of the sun for a few days. Poor tom (who never normally gets burnt) is red as a tomato :P
Anyway other than constantly feeling tired (solsting), were feeling very happy and I think that we both like sydney. We still can't really believe that we are actually here. Its so unreal. Feels like we are spending loads but the thing is that we are only buying nessecary things. Apparently sydney is the most expensive city in aussie so I suppose we will just have to get used to it. Manly
Today we got up pretty early and took the ferry to manly beach. Once we got there we walked around and had a look in the shops. Manly really is a great area, we have been looking at some apartments there and they are quite expensive but it would be so great to live so near a beach. Tom handed out a few Cvs and I actually got a trial day on tuesday in a restaurant. I am thrilled but also abit nervous, im sure it will be fine though.
We spent some time on the beach aswell and it was so nice. We went swimming in the waves and watched people surf. Im afraid we spent alittle to long on the beach though because we are abit burned now. Even tom has burned!! hmm weird :P we will be more careful in the future.
Tomorrow we are meeting up with a girl who we might possibly be renting a room from, we will see. have to keep all our options open and look at all alternatives. I cant really decide if im scared or excited about all these decisions being made. Its very overwhelming coming to a brand new big city like this.

We have sucsessfully arrived in Sydney!
We landed yesterday afternoon, completley knackered and craving a bed. The shuttle never showed up but we managed to get to the hostel in one piece anyway. After a quick walk about in central sydney we passed out in ours beds. Today we had opened up a bank account, topped up our aussie mobile numbers. So at the moment I have no swedish number, only: 0420220272 :) We have also seen the sydney opera house and harbour bridge. It was pretty breathtaking, so pretty!
It feels so unreal to be here, feels great but at the same time it feels overwhelming. I have a lot of mixed feelings at the moment, but mostly they are good. Ive managed to pick up a cold aswell :( Must have been from all the airplane hours. Even though I was taking c vitamins, ah well.
We have a lot to fix at the moment, in 3 days we have nowhere planned to live so we need to sort that out. Meanwhile we also have to start applying for jobs and look for a place to rent. So im afraid I might not be able to blogg very much these first few days.
Tomorrow we are off to manly beach for the day. We are thinking about living there, we might even bring some of our CVs and start handing them out tomorrow.

Yesterday we had a great day in L.A. We started off by trying to find the restaurant ihop where they serve american pancakes. We got abit lost and it took us 30 minutes to find the place, when we finally got there we were sweating and craving pancakes, and they were great :D We had decided to take the bus into town because it was so much cheaper, it took a while but after about an hours (scary) busdrive we got off at Hollywood BLVD. I can honestly say that we were the only forgein pale people on the bus. One guy asked me if we were actors xD haha.
Anyway once we were on Hollywood blvd we jumped onto a tourbus, we drove round beverlly hills, bel-air etc and saw famous peoples houses e.g Brad pitt, jennifer anniston, the house michael jackson died in, tom cruise etc. It was pretty cool. After two hours on the bus we got dropped off again on holywood blvd, We strolled round looking in the shops for the rest of the day and then we hopped onto a bus to venice beach. Venice beach is a long very popular beach in L.A. We should have really seen in during the day but we prioritized hollywood. But we got to Venice beach just in time for the sunset :)
Its hard to do L.A in one day but we did pretty well I think :)

Auckland Airport
Hej alla :) We arrived at Auckland Airport 2 hours ago. There is a 12 hour time difference here so at the moment it is 9:10am. The flight went well, I slept through most of it so that was nice. The plane was absolutley massive and we had a tv each so that was a relief. We have 7 hours untill our flight leaves for Sydney, so we have just bought 4 hours of internet so we have something to do. I'm pretty nervous now, it would be so great just to get a place to stay and a job, but I know it won't be that easy.

LAX
At the moment we are snuggled down in our king size bed at the radisson hotel LAX. The flight went well and it is a lot warmer here in Los angeles so that is nice. This is our last night of luxury for a loong time so we are trying to enjoy it as much as possible. I just love staying at hotels, makes me feel important when you have loads of people servicing you.
We had a very expensive dinner before.. usch I still feel bad that we spent so much money. Basicallly we decided that we didnt want to wander round in LA by ourselves in the dark looking for a place to eat, so we decided to eat at the hotel restaurant, which was of course super expensive. The food was fine but not really worth all that money. The rubbish thing was though, we realised after finishing our dinner that there was a subway like down the road from our hotel.. Gosh. Nevermind.. we will just have to go cheap tomorrow.
Our plans tomorrow are to take a bus to Hollywood and have a look around, and maybe swing by a beach. Our flight leaves tomorrow evening at 9pm. If I don't update again then I will see you when we are in AUS!

From B-ham to L.A
Tomorrow I am actually getting up early to go and workout with connor and his mum. Wow, it will be tough. Have not worked out in sooo long. Im excited to get going though :) In th afternoon we are flying to L.A, so it will be byebye bellingham for now. We will spend one night in L.A, and on tuesday evening we are flying to AUSTRALIA. Unfortunatley we have a 8 hour layover in Auckland, new zeeland, but hopefully we can get out of the airport and get some fresh air before we continue on to sydney :P It will be a loong flight!!!
The real adventure begins now, when we get to sydney we have 4 nights at a hostel booked and after that we don't know whats happening. It so scary and at the same time a little adventure shouldnt hurt anyone, right? We will see what happens :) Our goal is to get a job asap, and ideally a little apartment :) You will get to follow our journey here on the blogg so Ill try and keep you posted.

Today we got up reeeaally early and went fishing in the ocean on the wicknicks lovely boat. Im afraid we didnt actually catch anything but it was great anyway. We saw the sunrise and the sky was clear. I fell asleep so many times though for some reason, haha the sea makes me sleepy. Here are some pictures:

Seattle
Yesterday on december 31st we were in Seattle :) I must say I love Seattle aswell, its so pretty and the views are lovely. Its not as amazing as Vancouver but its still great :D We left early and started with the space needle. Me and Tom went up and the view was amazing. It was a clear day so we could see so far! After that we journeyed on to pike place market, a famous open air market where they sell all sorts of food, crafts and bits and bobs :) It was there that we also saw the first ever starbucks! Pretty cool :)
We wandered in the shops and went to wing dome for lunch, a place famous for there chicken wings. It was very yummy. Börjar få lite ångest nu över maten jag äter. Jag har lovat mig själv att när vi är i australien ska jag ta en redig promenad varje dag :P
The evening was spent with connors friends. We experienced a real american college party and i must say it was a lot of fun.. haha.
Jag kan inte riktigt fatta att vi åker till Australien snart... nu är det äntligen dags. USA är bara en uppvärmning på det som kommer. Det pirrar i både mig och tom (tom vill bara inte erkänna det ;)) och det ska bli så spännande.
På måndag bär det av till LA.. Vi hörs npg innan dess men ni får ha det så bra :D
